London Welsh sign Julio Farias Cabello

Aviva Premiership Rugby Union club the London Welsh have completed the signing of versatile Argentine international forward Julio Farias Cabello. The Exiles have signed the versatile player from his club Tucuman.

The 34 year old forward has earned 19 caps for The Pumas in international rugby competitions and he was an ever present figure for the team in the country’s first ever campaign in the Rugby Championships last year. The signing of the Argentine signals the intentions of the newly promoted club to the Aviva Premiership about their plans for the future.

The international player is as comfortable playing in the back row as well as playing in the second row and the head coach of The Welsh Lyn Jones says that the addition of the Argentine international to his squad will no doubt be extremely useful and he will become a very important asset for the club. Jones stated that it is undoubted that Julio is a player of immense quality and moreover, he has an extremely high work rate in the field as well.

He went on to state that the Argentine will add a lot of stability and steel to the club and not only that, his ability on the pitch will no doubt help the club in its final push in this season’s Aviva Premiership. He went on to state that the club still has to play eight more games in the season and mentioned that the depth that the club has now and admitted that the club will need to be as competitive that they are in mid-February as they will have to be in mid-May.

Cabello made his debut for the Argentine national team back in 2010 against France in Montpellier was a part of the side that came close to upsetting Australia in a recent game.
